Currently almost everywhere, many shops and restaurants are shutting down, opening fewer hours or takeout only. The same is coming true for Hotels, motels too. However, golf courses offer more "social distancing" than many other activities, So you might have a better chance of finding one open. Be sure to call ahead right before you depart.

Georgia is on the hot beads of golf. There is more than just the Magic of Augusta for the golf enthusiast. There are no less than 30 good courses in the Atlanta and surround areas. If your looking for something a little different, especially if the wife needs to entertain the little ones, try Stone Mountian.It a great place for the golfing family.

New Orleans is a great place for a golf vacation. There are numerousness courses in the Metro area, some of which are very affordable. The weather is too hot for most during the summer time, but the Fall, Spring, and Winter are all great times to visit the Big Easy. City Park has 4 courses and rounds start as low as 8$. They also have the only public practice facility inside the city limits. There lighted driving range stays open until 10:00, last buckets are sold at 9:00. The only other course inside the city is in Audobon Park. Audobon is a 62 par tight course right across the street from Tulane. There is no driving range.
Outside the city there are dozens of great course, most of which are open to the public. Next time your planning a trip to the Big Easy don't leave the clubs at home.
Oklahoma City and the surrounding areas have some great golf courses. The wind can be a real factor in plains. Oklahoma has been the host of 2 majors The 2001 US Open at Southern Hills and the 1991 PGA Championships at Oak Tree. Both of these courses are private, but there are some great public courses for the travelers.
The finest of the courses is the University Course in Stillwater, about an hour drive from downtown. If you don't want to make the long drive try Silver horn. Its a links style course located in the heart of one of the largest TV antenna farms in the world.
There are some great golf courses in San Francisco and the surrounding bay area. Like everything in Califonria getting a tea time can be tough. There can be a line to hit range balls. There is a lighted range ball faciality right off the highway in downtown. You can't miss it. There are two nice courses with views of the bay located near the ocean side of the city, The course at the Presido is the nicest.
Outside of the city most of the small beach towns have at least one course. The course in Pacifica is nice, affordible, and just a short drive from downtown San Francisco. If your looking to spend some money try Half Moon Bay. If you want to play Pebble they best way is to buy a hotel package. They start at around $500.
